Doolee awarded maiden project in New Zealand

Doolee Construction have been awarded their maiden project in Auckland, New Zealand, delivering on their promise to expand their agricultural operations into New Zealand.

Doolee Construction have been awarded a piggery expansion south of Auckland in what will be their first project in New Zealand. This project represents a significant achievement for Doolee in expanding their Agricultural operations and experiences to the New Zealand market and one which Doolee are very excited about. The award of this project comes on the back of delivering quality work and improved construction methods in the piggery and poultry sectors in Australia.

Biogas Infrastructure in place – Project update

Biogas infrastructure completed on Australia’s first piggery to run electricity from an on-site biogas digester facility.

Doolee Construction have delivered on the infrastructure works required for the Biogas Plant at the GD Pork Piggery in Western Australia. Doolee undertook the design and construction of the structural elements required for this biogas plant. Infrastructure elements included reinforced concrete slabs and walls, stainless steel tanks, 28m in diameter and 6m in height along with associated pipework and feedlines.

The overall project involves the installation of an anaerobic digester tank where the waste from the pigs flows into. The bacteria breaks down the waste and creates methane which is then put into generators, creating electricity. The Biogas facility will be capable of producing 1.7 MW per year which will make the farm fully self sufficient.

Wood Waste to Energy – Project update

The waste wood to engery project at Hazelmere in Western Australia is progressing well.

Doolee Construction have delivered on the infrastructure work required for the processing plant. This work included the erection of the steel frame and installation of the Ansac Kiln.

The waste wood to energy project will convert woodchip to renewable electricity and biochar using a pyrolysis process. This will divert significant portions of the untreated wood waste from landfill and the electricity generated will be used as a power source for the on-site facilities. Excess electricity will be exported back into the power grid
